Frequently asked questions

What is a digital general assembly?

A general assembly (generalforsamling) is the highest governing body of a Norwegian AS company. Norwegian law (aksjeloven §5) requires an annual general meeting to approve accounts, elect the board and handle other matters. Nexus Connect lets you run this fully digitally.

Can shareholders vote by proxy?

Yes. Shareholders who cannot attend can assign a proxy to vote on their behalf. The platform tracks proxy assignments, validates them and counts proxy votes alongside direct votes in the final tally.

How are different share classes handled in voting?

The platform calculates votes based on each shareholder's class and voting weight. If your company has share classes with different voting rights, the tally is automatically adjusted — no manual calculations needed.
